Auction: AUTUMN FINE SALE, 9th Oct, 2024
Our Autumn Fine Sale features three exceptional private collections of silver, jewellery, and watches. Highlights include a set of twelve George III silver dinner plates by Paul Storr, London, 1817, estimated at £10,000-15,000, and a pair of Victorian silvered bronze 'exotic' three-light candelabra by Elkington. A similar pair sold at Sotheby’s in New York in 2009 for $40,625. The Jewellery section showcases pieces from a private collection, with a standout being a certificated Georgian natural yellow topaz necklace, estimated at £4,000-6,000. Leading the Watches section is a rare steel Longines automatic diver’s watch—one of the earliest diver's watches, with only 550 examples produced. Additionally, we have a small collection of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson oak furniture, including a 7-foot refectory dining table, estimated at £2,000-3,000.
