Our forthcoming sale will feature over 1000 lots, including items from a North London property, along with pieces from notable private collections and estates.

The silver section is particularly strong, with highlights such as a very rare George II silver cake basket by John Langlands I & John Goodrick, Newcastle 1756. This exquisite piece, of shaped oval form with a swing handle cast with grotesque heads and a border of pierced fruiting vines and laden baskets, is engraved with the arms of Mitford. Raised on four ball and claw feet with shell and foliate capping, it weighs 58.3 troy ounces and is estimated at £4000-6000.

Also featured is a fine set of twelve George III silver dinner plates by Augustin Le Sage, London 1768. These shaped circular plates, each with a gadrooned edge and engraved arms and motto, weigh 174.5 troy ounces in total. The set is estimated at £6000-8000.

The painting section includes notable works, such as Fred Elwell RA’s Girl Polishing Pans, The Bar House Kitchen (1937), a striking oil on canvas, which was exhibited at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull and Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle in 1993-94. The work is estimated at £5000-7000.

Richard Eurich RA’s Sunrise, dated 1990, an oil on board, carries an estimate of £2000-3000, while Stanley Royle’s Autumn Landscape (oil on canvas, 1962, label verso) is estimated at £1500-2500.

A standout item from the collection of Lalique is René Lalique's Topaz 'Bacchantes' Vase, mounted on a bronze stand. The press-moulded frosted and polished glass, marked with the R. LALIQUE FRANCE stamp and accompanied by the original bronze stand stamped LALIQUE, stands at 32cm high (including the stand) and is estimated at £4000-6000.

Among the Chinese textiles is an embroidered silk ceremonial hanging from Guangdong Province, 19th Century. This remarkable piece, worked in polychrome silks and gilt thread, celebrates the 81st birthday of the scholar Sir Nian. Featuring immortals, filial sons, attendants, and symbols of rank and longevity, it is probably of ceremonial significance, made for display in a Guangdong clan ancestral hall.

The furniture section includes two exceptional pieces: a George III mahogany musical longcase clock, signed Moore, Ipswich. The clock features a 13-inch dial with automaton figures, a striking movement with bells, and a musical function with a pinned cylinder. It is beautifully housed in a gilt-metal mounted mahogany case with stop-fluted quarter columns.

Also offered is a fine George III mahogany dumb waiter, circa 1770. The piece features graduated rotating circular tiers with a baluster gallery, supported on a flared ring turned column and terminating in a tripod base with pad feet and castors.
