Auction: TWO-DAY AUTUMN FINE SALE, 23rd Oct, 2025
Our forthcoming Two-Day Autumn Fine Sale presents a distinguished selection of fine art, antiques and collectables from notable private collections and estates across the country.
The sale features a remarkable private collection of Arts and Crafts silver and enamel pieces, together with a fine group of Lalique glass, highlighted by a wonderful example of the Bacchantes vase. Furniture is strongly represented with an excellent section of Mouseman pieces, including nests of tables, stools and coffee tables, while a private collection of paintings by the sporting and animal artist Thomas Woodward (1801–1852) adds further depth to the fine art offering.
Silver is a particular strength this season, led by A Fine Pair of Early George III Chinoiserie Silver Tea Caddies by Thomas Pitts I, London 1761, after Paul de Lamerie. The section of objects of vertu includes A Fine and Rare 18 Carat Gold, Enamel and Pearl-Set Mandolin-Form Pendant Watch, circa 1820, and A Louis XVI Vari-Colour Gold and Enamel Snuff Box by Jean Charles Marie Boudou (fl. 1783–1790), Paris 1783.
