The marks are rubbed but legible. The lid closes well and sits neatly. No personalised engraving. The lining appears original but is untidy. It wobbles ever so slightly on the base. The decoration is crisp and of good quality.

The Jewellery section presents a selection of exquisite pieces from these estates, including a highly sought-after natural pearl and diamond brooch. In the Objects of Vertu section, Lot 412 stands out—a late 18th-Century gold-mounted abalone shell and lacquered snuff box, the lid inset with a micromosaic scene attributed to Gioacchino Barberi (Italian, 1783-1857).
