Henrietta has built her distinguished career with some of the most respected names in the auction world, including fifteen years as Bonhams’ representative and general valuer in the North East and twelve years with Sotheby’s. Today, she runs her own fine art and antiques consultancy while also working closely with Elstob Auctioneers.
Her specialism lies in 18th, 19th and 20th-century paintings, but her knowledge extends across the wider antiques market. She is equally at ease advising clients on the sale of individual items, managing large collections or overseeing complete house sales. Over the years, she has played a key role in several high-profile auctions, including the Nun Monkton House Sale, the Ripley Castle Collection and the Meade Irish Silver Collection.
Henrietta’s strength lies in knowing what, when and how best to sell, and she also provides formal valuations for insurance, probate and family division.
